Construction worker killed building Sao Paulo monorail

One worker has been killed and at least two others have been injured after a beam fell at a monorail construction site in Sao Paulo.
The accident happened near the city’s Congonhas airport.
The project meant to link with three metro lines had been due to be in operation before the start of the opening World Cup match in the city on Thursday.
The monorail is one of several infrastructural plans either scrapped or delayed ahead of the event.
This latest death pushes the total number of workers killed during the construction phase in the 12 World Cup host cities to nine.
