NGO ASKS FACEBOOK TO GIVE AWAY MONEY FROM PRO-ASSAD ADS

The platform`s called "ads for dictators" and is mocked up to look like the Facebook welcome page. It contains an online petition addressed to the social network`s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, urging him to give the money paid by al-Assad’s campaign team to aid agencies working to help Syrian refugees.
And to make sure the message is heard by the widest audience possible; the NGO is also sharing these posters and photo-montages on the web criticizing Facebook, saying it has done business with a dictator who is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.
And it seems the campaign has already gained significant ground with a growing number of messages being relayed on social media exerting pressure on Mark Zuckerberg. Web users are saying the only honorable thing for Facebook to do is to hand over all the money received as payment for the pro-Assad ads to victims of the Syrian conflict.
