Dunya News-Pakistan's High Commission in London seeks access to Altaf Hussain

Pakistan’s High Commission in London on Monday contacted British Foreign Ministry and asked for access to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain as he is also citizen of Pakistan.
According to Foreign Office, Pakistan High Commission also sought details of the case against the MQM chief. The foreign office added that all possible legal assistance would be provided to Altaf Hussain.
Meanwhile, London Police asked to nominate three persons to visit Altaf Hussain.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan held telephonic conversation Khan Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad and inquired about the health of Altaf Hussain.
The PM also prayed for early recovery of MQM Chief and asked the Governor to keep him informed about the development Altaf Hussain's case.
Nawaz Sharif said MQM Chief Altaf Hussain is a Pakistani citizen and the government will provide all possible legal assistance to him.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the federal government will remain in touch with Governor Sindh regarding the case.
On the other hand, MQM supporters continue to hold sit-ins in various cities including Karachi and Hyderabad against the arrest of Altaf Hussain.
