Mancini on Pizarro signing and Hargreaves | Machester City vs Fulham | EPL 2012

David Pizarro is hoping for a better experience in England than the last time he visited Manchester.

The Roma midfielder was on transfer deadline day signed on loan until the end of the season by Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Pizarro has already set his sights on the title, but he is also hoping for happier memories than a 2007 trip to the North West of England.

The 32-year-old was a part of the Roma side who were hammered 7-1 by Manchester United in a Champions League quarter-final and he still has painful flashbacks.

"That was a massacre," sighed Pizarro. "All I saw of Cristiano Ronaldo was the back of his shirt."

The Chilean, though, is confident he can adapt to the pace of the Premier League, despite previously not even featuring on a regular basis in Serie A.

"I feel ready," he said "I know the league in England is going to be different to Italy.

"But I have a lot of experience at the highest level and whilst I know I need to adapt very quickly, I am confident I can."
