Everton v QPR - Moyes admits Everton struggle | English Premier League 2011-2012

Everton belatedly begin their campaign against a QPR side looking to bounce back from a 4-0 opening day home defeat.

Queens Park Rangers illustrated the gulf in class between the Premier League and Championship last weekend in a 4-0 home drubbing at the hands of Bolton Wanderers. A visit to Everton, if anything, is set to be a sterner test. Neil Warnock's QPR, bereft of new signings and with talisman Adel Taarabt clearly under-par, were humiliated at Loftus Road and fans were left asking whether it was all worth it. This summer should have seen supporters full of optimism, but the ongoing saga over ownership had led to many fearing the worst for the season ahead. However, the sale of a majority share in the club to Malaysian Air tycoon Tony Fernandes has brought with it hope. In this game, injury prone Kieron Dyer will be missing, somewhat predictably, and full back Clint Hill is out after his sending off against Bolton. It's likely Warnock will play a more defensively minded game here; he'll be hoping confidence hasn't been shattered, and the side should take heart from the fact Bolton only managed five shots on goalin their opening encounter. Without the ownership issues hanging over the club any longer, you sense the season starts here for QPR
