Tottenham vs Bolton - Coyle thinks Spurs can win the Premier League | EPL 2011-12

Bolton manager Owen Coyle knows he cannot spend his way out of trouble in the January transfer window.

Wanderers have been marooned in the bottom three of the Premier League for much of the season, having won just three games.

However, Coyle knows he must rely on loan signings if he is to strengthen his squad in the new year.

"If you don't have money, then there are ways and means of improving your team," he said.

"I've not had money anywhere I have been before.

"I came to the club two years ago, second bottom of the league, and never spent a penny.

"We had to be inventive bringing in Stuart Holden, Jack Wilshere and Vladimir Weiss (on loan)."

Coyle, who saw his side lose 2-0 to Everton on Saturday, told the Bolton News: "Whatever hand you are dealt you make the best of it.

"If we do have the luxury of spending money then great, but it's not something I'm beating myself up about.

"I'm at a fantastic club with great people and we all have to make sure we get ourselves out of the dangerous area we're in."
