High-End Fashion Designer Zang Toi Gives An Amazing Prom Gift To Three Lucky Girls

For this year's prom season the Garden of Dreams Foundation in New York City hosted a prom for 52 teenagers who face serious challenges, be it from poverty or illness. Renowned fashion designer Zang Toi took time out of his busy schedule to design dresses for three of the young girls.  From the press release:On April 8, the Garden of Dreams Foundation - a 501C3 charity that partners with The Madison Square Garden Company to make dreams come true for children – will host its first ever Prom, bringing together fifty-two teenagers from its partner organizations for a prom experience they will never, ever forget. For many of the children that have been invited to the Prom, the obstacles that they face, whether it's poverty or illness – makes the opportunity to attend a prom an unrealized dream. In preparation for the Prom, several of the young girls attending were given the incredible experience of being fitted for special dresses by renowned fashion designer Zang Toi. With the assistance of supermodel Ubah Hassan and model Damaris Lewis, Toi graciously selected dresses from his collection for the three young girls to wear to the Prom. The three girls include 17-year-old Monica Hernandez from Garden of Dreams partner organization WHEDco, a community-based organization in the Bronx serving children in extreme poverty; Rowan Zubi, who's favorite quote is “Where there is life, there is hope,” which means a lot coming from a 17-year-old who is also a two-time survivor of cancer; and Noelle Dadon, who, during her 15 years, has battled tourette's syndrome, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and glaucoma, which has forced her to endure eight eye surgeries.
