Hold breath, drive through tunnel: instead of getting wish, teen passes out and crashes car

A 19-year-old caused a three-car accident after holding his breath and passing out while driving through a tunnel.
When driving through a tunnel, it's custom to hold your breath and make a wish.
Oregon State Police say Daniel Calhon, 19, and his passenger Bradley Meyring, also 19, were travelling west on Highway 26 outside of Portland, Oregon.
As they entered the Dennis L. Edwards tunnel, Calhon held his breath. The tunnel is 772 feet long. If you're doing 55, you can get through it in about 10 seconds.
But that was apparently too long for Calhon. He passed out and crossed the center divider, smacking into a Ford Explorer.
Taken to hospital were Calhon, Meyring and the occupants of the Ford Explorer: Thomas Hatch Jr and Candace Hatch.
