Greetings and welcome. I want to play a game. But this is a nice game. In fact, there will be no bone-sawing or mutilation whatsoever. All I want to do is give you free cash. Wanna play?
It appears a very rich person in the San Francisco Bay area is very bored because since last week, an anonymous millionaire has been hiding envelopes with about 100 bucks in cash around the Bay area, and then posting clues on how to find the dough on Twitter.
About 4,000 bucks has been found so far, as tens of thousands flock to the hashtag: @HiddenCash for clues.
The mystery millionaire says he's aiming for 100,000 Twitter followers and he plans to play the game in LA and New York as well.
He also says this little stunt isn't viral marketing or trickery...he just wants to give back and encourage random acts of kindness.
What do you think? Is this just good natured fun? Or is some rich dude basically making us play a non-lethal Hunger Games?
Well, whatever his motivation, the smiling faces of the folks who find the envelopes are pretty solid evidence that finding free money is A-OK with most people.
