After a meandering and often painfully boring work history, Shannon Ray decided to start a blog for a creative outlet in 2011, calling it Gloss and Dirt. She likes to talk all-things beauty (gloss), with a heavy dose of celebrity gossip and nonsense (that's the dirt). But the real highlight of Shannon's life thus far was winning the title of 2012 Allure Beauty Blogger of the Year. She loves spreading beauty knowledge in her own unfiltered way, and is beyond thrilled to be an Allure Insider.
