Booq Boa Squeeze Laptop Bag for MacBook and PC Review

I've reviewed a couple of Booq bags before, so I expected the Boa Squeeze backpack to be a well made product. And it did, for the most part, meet my expectations for a backback made to carry tablets and smaller laptops. The main compartment is made to carry laptops up to 15" (diagonal measurement). A velcro strap covers the opening of a pocket for the laptop and prevents the laptop from shifting when the bag is moved. There are several pockets for accessories in this compartment. There are also zippered side compartments for accessories. One of the side pockets has a quick-release ring that would be perfect for carrying your keys.

The bag is nicely padded, and the exterior is a tough, durable looking nylon fabric that should be resistant to cuts and scrapes. At the top of the bag is an unpadded hanging loop or carrying strap. Note that when the bag is set down, it lays flat, not upright. The shoulder straps are lightly padded with adjustable lengths. If I could change one thing, I would add a chest strap to prevent the straps from sliding off your shoulders, but that's a minor quibble.

The Boa Squeeze isn't a very large bag, but its size and light weight make it ideal for carrying small laptops, netbooks, and tablets up to 10" or so. It should fit easily in the overhead bins of commercial aircraft, and I believe that it's small enough to fit under the seat. And there's one really unique feature: a metal plate with a unique serial number and a website to go to in case the backpack is ever lost or stolen. If the backpack was registered with Booq, the owner can be traced that way.

The Boa Squeeze is definitely worth considering for carrying smaller mobile devices when protection and comfort are your priorities.
