NYPD drunk driving cop Brendan Cronin shoots innocent hockey player then forgets about it

A New York City cop is out on bail today after apparently getting blackout drunk at a bar in the Bronx, Tuesday night, then driving up to Pelham and shooting a random stranger six times. Officer Brendan Cronin went to a bar in City Island in the Bronx to get drunk with some other cops. No surprises there, if you've seen The Wire before.
Meanwhile, amateur hockey players Rob Borrelli and Joe "The Truck" Felice were driving home after a victory for their team, The Wranglers. When they stopped at red light on Lincoln Ave in Pelham, Cronin boozily pulled in front and drew his service weapon. Then, Cronin, who claims he can't remember this part, emptied his gun into the men's car, striking Felice six times. He then swerved off into the night, leaving Borrelli to drive his injured teammate to the hospital.
Police quickly found Cronin, thanks to his erratic driving with his hazards on, and nearly shot him before he dropped his Glock out the window.
"Doctors say Joe "The Truck" Felice is doing well for somebody who got shot six times and is expected to recover. As for Officer Cronin, investigators found 14 bullet casings his gun and he has been charged with assault."
