Thai protesters rally to try to topple caretaker government

Scenes like these are becoming a fixture...antigovernment protests fanning out across the capital Bangkok.

They see the ousting of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra for abusing her power as a victory.

But that's still not enough. These protesters want the whole of her caretaker government to go.

(SOUNDBITE) (Thai) 51 YEAR-OLD UNIDENTIFIED PROTESTER SAYING:

"The government has clearly showed that they will continue working as a government. We cannot take this any more that these people will run our country."

A protest leader urged supporters to rally outside television stations to prevent them being used by the government.

. (SOUNDBITE) (Thai) ANTI-GOVERNMENT PROTEST LEADER SUTHEP THAUGSUBAN SAYING:

"All the television stations, do not panic. We have good intentions. We mean no harm. We will be there to be your friends, to protect you. We'll not let the traitors use you as their speakers. That's all."

"We are not the enemy (of the police)
