Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar on Friday gave an ultimatum to the government, demanding recovery of missing party workers in 72 hours.
Addressing a press conference here in party headquarters, Dr Farooq Sattar alleged that rangers personnel and officers in civvies were involved in violent incidents in Karachi.
Mr. Sattar asked Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif to immediately form a judicial commission to investigate killings of party workers.
He requested Chief of Army Staff (COAS) to ask Corps Commander Karachi to form a committee to probe violent incidents in Karachi.
MQM leader further said that his party would stage sit-ins at roads, if their demands are not met.
He added that personnel in civvies were still picking up MQM workers despite orders of Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar, adding that it was a responsibility of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) to recover missing party workers.
He alleged that officers in civvies abducted MQM workers and later, Rangers' vehicles reached the spot to protect plainclothesmen.
