Venezuelan authorities have confirmed the arrest of an American citizen on attempted murder and weapons charges.
An argument over loud music reportedly led to the arrest of an American citizen in Venezuela.
In early April, Todd Leininger, a tourist visiting the country with his Venezuelan wife, allegedly became angry over a neighbor's loud music.
Leininger is said to have confronted his neighbor, Jorge Sandoval, and an argument ensued.
The American then reportedly shot the man in the abdomen.
When local authorities arrested Leininger at his residence, they discovered two handguns and three rifles - including one with a scope. A gun silencer was also found.
A Venezuelan court has charged Leininger with attempted murder and arms trafficking.
