Gurdaspur bus gang rape: Punjab woman attacked, six arrested

An Indian woman was raped on a bus in Punjab on Friday night, a month after a brutal gang rape sparked protests across the country.

The woman, aged 29, was traveling alone on a public bus to her parent's house in Gurdaspur district, 280 miles from Delhi. When the other passengers got off, the bus driver drove away and did not let the woman get out at her destination.
Instead, the driver and conductor took the woman to a remote location, where five other men joined them. The seven men took the woman to a farmhouse and raped her repeatedly.
