Jakarta Banjir flood 2013 kills nine

Flooding in Jakarta, Indonesia has taken the lives of nine people since Jan. 14, 2013. The prolonged heavy rains caused the Ciliwung River, upstream from Jakarta to flood. The deluge turned Jakarta's streets into brown rivers, caused massive gridlock and even flooded the presidential palace.
