Hong Kongers go crazy for toy wolf symbol of anti-government protest

Hong Kongers flocked to IKEA stores to jostle for a toy wolf named 'Lufsig', which has unexpectedly become an anti-government symbol.

The stuffed toy became wildly popular after a protester tossed a Lufsig at Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying, the city's unpopular leader, during a consultative forum on Sunday.

Lufsig may be warm and cuddly, but that's not how it becomes the hottest toy in town. In Cantonese, the toy's name sounds like 'mother's cunt'.

IKEA said stocks have run out, but supplies will be replenished in Hong Kong in early January.
