Rock, hip hop, indie and EDM fans across the US invaded the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California over the weekend for the 2014 Coachella Arts and Music Festival.

The Coachella Festival is an annual two-weekend, three-day music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club located in the Inland Empire's Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. It was started by Paul Tollett in 1999. As well as the live music, art installations and sculptures are also featured. Across the grounds, many stages continuously host live music. The main stages are: Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, Gobi Ten, Mojave Tent and the Sahara Tent. A smaller Oasis Dome was used in 2006 and the new Yuma stage was introduced in 2013.

Fans were dressed in the latest desert sandstorm chic to battle the crazy winds that turned the festival into a dustbowl. Luckily, they were rewarded with big name performances.

The Hat formerly known as Pharrell complained about the wind three times, but made up for it with cameos from Nelly, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani.

Beyonce popped in for a set with Solange, but the biggest surprise on Saturday was Nas bringing out Jay Z. This after seeing Outkast reunite on Friday. Who's going to 2015?
