PHOOL GENDWA NA MARO - 1964

An invaluable gift for senior music pros! In olden times--about 50 years ago--only gramophones were in vogue for playing music from records (grooved rotating discs). By repeated playing, some records would get stuck somewhere in between, producing ludicrous melody. This particular, semi-classical song, composed by Music Director Roshan, from the 1964 film, Dooj Ka Chand, creates that hilarious situation. The so-called "singer" arranges for a back-stage gramophone for a song on which he lip-syncs in order to impress his girl friend. Everything goes hunky-dory and fine until she gets suspicious, finds out the truth and shoos off the "singer"!
