Civil servants strike over more job cuts in Greece

Thousands of striking civil servants, doctors, teachers and school guards protest in front of the parliament during the 24-hour nationwide strike, against lay-offs in public sector.
striking doctors, teachers and school guards, attended rallies in the capital Athens and other cities to demonstrate against the austerity cuts.
Cleaning staff laid off by the finance ministry marched towards the parliament holding mops and buckets, while a group of school teachers chained themselves to the railings in front of the parliament.
A dynamic presence to the rallies was also given by micro-savers and bondholders who claim that they lost their belongings by investing in Greek bonds .
Next Wednesday and Thursday 19 and 20 March, the wave of strikes continues with a new 48-hour nation-wide strike of the public sector

Κύμα δυσφορίας και αγανάκτησης από τους υπό απόλυση του δημοσίου τομέα στην απεργία της ΑΔΕΔΥ.
Καθηγητές, καθαρίστριες, αλλά και μικροομολογιούχοι.
Χιλιάδες διαδηλώνουν μπροστά από την Βουλή στo πλαίσιο της 24ωρης πανελλαδικής απεργίας που πραγματοποιεί η ΑΔΕΔΥ, ενάντια στις απολύσεις και το καθεστώς διαθεσιμότητας.
Οι υπό απόλυση καθαρίστριες του ΥΠΟΙΚ αφού απέκλεισαν νωρίς το πρωί το Υπουργείο, κατευθύνθηκαν στην Βουλή κρατώντας σκούπες και σφουγγαρίστρες.
Εν τω μεταξύ υπ απόλυση καθηγητές δέθηκαν με αλυσίδες μπροστά στη Βουλή.
Εκτός από τους υπό απόλυση σχολικούς φύλακες δυναμικό παρών έδωσαν και οι μικρο-ομολογιούχοι αποταμιευτές.
Την ερχόμενη Τετάρτη και Πέμπτη 19 και 20 Μαρτίου, το κύμα των απεργιών για τις απολύσεις συνεχίζεται με νέα 48ωρη απεργία που έχει εξαγγείλει η ΑΔΕΔΥ
