Gauruv Sharma is running for a seat in India’s Parliament, and he’s channeling the power of Spiderman to stay ahead of his opponents.

The 32-year-old candidate has been climbing around town wearing a makeshift Spiderman costume.

His get-up consists of Spidey mask and t-shirt. From the waist down, he dons regular guy pants and shoes.

Doors are for ordinary people, so Sharma climbs up the sides of buildings and talks to people through their windows.

He’s hoping his efforts help the voters see that’s he’s the candidate that will help them out with their problems, just like a superhero would.

People are certainly giving him their attention, but will he get their votes?

Some say his non-traditional campaign style is really working for them.

Said one Mumbai resident, “He goes to everybody's house through the window and is trying to solve the problems of people. We would certainly like to give a chance to such a candidate.”

Whether or not people are enchanted enough to put him in office will soon be seen.

The 9-stage election has begun, and will wrap up in late April.
