World record for speed skiing
Monday, March 31, 2014 on the runway Chabrières in the French resorts of Vars, Italian Simone Origone beat Monday the world record for speed skiing in reaching 252.454 km / h! He beat the previous record of 251.397 km / h set in 2006. Chabrières track is one of the only tracks adapted to record with an elevation of 495 meters, a maximum slope of 98% (average 52.5%) and 1220 m long. Departure is at 2715 m altitude for arrival at 2220 m
