ENCORE - Life imitating art: Afghans hope a film about artistic freedom will become a reality

On today’s show our reporter Nicolas Baker brings us the back-story of an Afghan film about four college art students who renovate a neglected theatre. The real-life theatre Aryub was given a face-lift during the filming and has now re-opened. As presidential elections take place in Afghanistan many are hoping the film’s story about artists overcoming insecurity and rising conservatism can become a reality.
Also on the show, we take you on a behind-the-scenes virtual tour of Paris' Opera Garnier and show you how they filmed all the building's secret nooks and crannies- from its underground reservoir to only views the Phantom of the Opera might have seen.

Plus what do the crooning sounds of Elvis Presley, the reggae beats of Bob Marley and the rapping style of Jay Z have in common? Tune in to find out!
