Campaigning ends in Afghanistan

Two months of campaigning comes to an end in Afghanistan.
This weekend, Afghans will choose a new President, an election that marks a historical transition as the country holds its first democratic transfer of power.
Presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah says now it is up to the voters.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) AFGHAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, ABDULLAH ABDULLAH, SAYING:
"We will accept the outcome of a credible election there is no doubt about it. But we firmly believe that this time around it will be the votes and the winner who - the team which will rule Afghanistan - should be the team who has the votes of the people of Afghanistan."
Security is tight. Afghan security forces are on high alert after a Taliban suicide bomber killed himself and at least six policemen Wednesday. It was the latest in a string of attacks ahead of the April 5th election.
