Transcendence and X-Men sci-fi superheros hit the big screen

‘Transcendence’ is the latest film starring Johnny Depp who plays a terminally ill scientist who downloads his mind into a computer in the sci-fi drama.

The film explores the future relationship between humankind and computers.

Rebecca Hall and Morgan Freeman also star.

Johnny Depp poses the question asked by the movie: “One person is forced to make a choice in an instant, when your loved one is dying and you have a split-second decision to, if you have the ability to upload their consciousness into a computer, would you?”

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is not released internationally until May 22, but actors Hugh Jackman and James McAvoy, who play Wolverine and Professor Xavier are already out promoting the film.

The X-Men send Wolverine back in time in a last ditch attempt to rewrite history and stop an event that results in destruction for both humans and mutants.

Wolverine is played by Hugh Jackman: “Basically you’re in the future… further in the future than you’ve seen in any of the X-Men movies so you’re at the possible extinction of the mutants and so a very few hardy ones have survived and we’ve managed to get four new ones in with great actors playing them and that’s very exciting.”
