Taiwan China trade conflict: A song for students sit-in legislature
  • 10 years ago
Students occupied Taiwan's Legislative Yuan on March 18, 2014 in opposition to their country's impending trade pact with China.

On March 23, they occupied the Administrative Yuan and the protest has since spread to college campuses.

They fear the pact will be detrimental to Taiwan's economic future and move the country closer to China, which regards it as a renegade, breakaway province.

The student protest leader Lin Fei-fan (林飛帆) has called for another sit-in in front of the Presidential Office on Sunday (March 30th) .
