Under escort, dozens of angry Chinese relatives of passengers on board the missing Malaysia airlines jet hold a brief but emotional news conference in Kuala Lumpur.

Chanting, "We want truth, we want proof we want our relatives", they unfurled a banner, accusing the Malaysian government of "delays and deception".

(SOUNDBITE) (Mandarin) REPRESENTATIVE OF THE GROUP OF CHINESE FAMILIES, JIANG HUI, SAYING:

"The Malaysian side can promptly, comprehensively announce their data, answer our questions. Secondly, we want the Malaysian government to apologise for giving out confusing information in the past week which caused the delay in the search and rescue effort. Thirdly, we want the Malaysia Airlines and Malaysian government to apologise for drawing the conclusion without substantial evidence and with such irresponsibility on the 24th that all aboard died."

They've flown here to meet Malaysian officials, piling the pressure on the government over its handling of flight
