My Little Disney: Heigh Ho

I'm back! I've got a lot to talk about, and I'm not sure where to start. This description is probably going to run long, so bear with me.

First of all, I probably gave the wrong impression a while back when I said the voice of Snow White was the reason I was avoiding this set. It's true that I personally don't like listening to it, but I've dealt with bad songs before, so that's nothing new. No, the biggest problem with Snow White from the day I decided to do ALL the Disney movie was always one thing: Bashful.

See, Fluttershy had to be Snow White. There was simply no other option I was willing to use. But Fluttershy is the only pony in the entire SERIES who could even be partially considered a bashful character. I poured over every episode, studied every talking creature both pony and not, waited for new episodes through almost three seasons, and the show just doesn't want to give us anyone who isn't extroverted and full of themselves.

There were plenty of ponies who had individual scenes I could pick from, but they were already perfect for other parts. Applejack blushes often, but she's also one of the few who is ever exhausted and so she needed to be Sleepy. Spike blushes often, but who else has devastating sneezes? Or sneezes at all? In the end, and after much tortuous decision-making, I bumped Twilight into the role and let Rarity take her place as Doc. It's not the cast I wanted, but it's the one that does the least damage to the other dwarfs castings.

And none of you read any of that, because you were still too excited seeing Derpy get a part, aren't you?

In other news, this was delayed for so long because I had a bit of a medical scare earlier this week and had to spend most of a day in the hospital. I'm fine now, it turned out to be nothing very serious, but I wasn't prior-ly aware one could pull a muscle in your lung. Scary...

I do not own My Little Pony or Disney, but we're heading out. All aircraft report.
"You did it! I was worried for a moment."
"You're becoming more like your father."
"I'm fine. You okay over there, Daga?"
