West African nations scramble to contain an outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus suspected in killing at least 59 in Guinea.

There are also fears that the deadly virus has hit neighboring Sierra Leone and Liberia.

"We must clean up the city to fight against this disease. We must make sure of it, because everybody's afraid for their life."

Ebola was discovered in 1976 in Zaire -- now the Democratic Republic of Congo. Scientists have identified the outbreak in Guinea as the virulent Zaire strain of the virus.
