A man in Oklahoma City is left injured while taking a bath in his very own home after a car crashed through the house.

For most folks, there’s nothing more relaxing than a nice hot bath.

A man in Oklahoma City, however, was left injured after some time in the tub went horribly wrong. 48-year-old Gary Dean Melton was recently hurt while taking a bath in his very own home when a car crashed into his residence. The vehicle drove right through the bathroom and finally came to a stop in a bedroom. Unfortunately for Melton, the bathtub bore the brunt of the impact.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department’s District Chief, Chad Everett said ‘He had minor injuries, mostly just cuts and bruises is what it appears right now. But he was trapped in the tub, couldn’t get out on his own.’

"This is the bathtub that the man was in. You can see it is in pieces. And in the corner that porcelain used to be a toilet." [KOCO]

The driver of the car, 25-year-old Jeremy Stuart was mostly uninjured, aside from a busted lip. He claimed to have fallen asleep at the wheel.

Police issued Stuart a citation for failure to pay attention while driving. Several of Melton’s family members were home at the time of the crash. Thankfully nobody else was injured.
