Two men were arrested over the weekend in Maryland after robbing a pregnant woman at gunpoint, according to a Wbaltv report.

While on their way to a hospital, an Annapolis man and his pregnant wife, who was reportedly in labor, were stopped by armed men early on Sunday.

The two suspects, later identified by authorities as Cornell Robinson, 44, of Washington, DC, and Devery Kelley, 24, of Annapolis, fled the scene of the crime and reportedly flung the handgun, which was later recovered by police, out of a stolen vehicle.

They eventually abandoned the car and attempted to flee on foot, but were caught by authorities.

The unidentified woman was taken to a nearby hospital. No updates have been issued regarding her or the baby's condition.
