In one tragic report, a woman was killed on the very same road as her twin sister. 29-year-old Sarah Sanaghan recently lost her life in a collision in Illinois.

18 years prior to the fatal accident, Sarah ’s twin sister, Cari, was killed on the very same road. The deadly incidents occurred approximately 500 yards apart.

On May 26th, 1996, 11-year-old Cari and a few friends were walking on the street at a little before midnight. They had all snuck out of the house during a sleepover.

A pickup truck hit the group and left the scene before police arrived. Although the driver was later apprehended, it didn’t offer much comfort, as Cari and two of her friends were dead.

Sarah’s life was taken just as abruptly and unexpectedly. She had been stopped at an intersection before pulling out in front of a tanker truck. Sarah’s Chevrolet Cruze was struck on the passenger side by the oncoming truck.

She was transported to a local hospital. Sarah was soon pronounced dead from blunt force head trauma. It remains unknown where she had been heading just before the crash.

Sarah, who worked as a nurse, leaves behind a son. A friend of Sarah's, named Lori Loya stated "She had a lot going for her… Now she's with her sister."
