Recently, a very talkative parrot in Agra, India assisted police in solving a murder investigation.

Specifically the bird is responsible for identifying the suspect. The bizarre case stemmed from the murder of a woman named Neelam Sharma.
On February 20th, her children and husband, Vijay Sharma had left the family home to attend a wedding. Neelam stayed behind at their residence. When the husband returned home with the kids, he found his wife and dog brutally murdered.
They had been stabbed to death. Several valuables from the house, including jewelry and cash were missing. Police soon hit a dead end. There were no suspects in sight.
However the family noticed their pet parrot became distressed everytime Vijay's nephew came around. Perplexed, Vijay and his brother decided to probe.
They said names in front of the parrot and every time the nephew’s name was spoken out loud the parrot would begin screeching ‘ he killed, he killed’. The nephew was taken in for questioning after the family alerted police of their discovery.
It didn’t take long for him to confess that he and an accomplice committed the murders. A police superintendent stated ‘It was the parrot which helped us zero in on the murderer. Otherwise, we were just groping in the dark.’
