The company recently purchased rights to a film that will be based on Dennis Rodman’s visits to North Korea. Tim Story, who is the director of ‘Ride Along’ and producer of ‘The Heat’, Peter Chernin will be working on the upcoming Rodman inspired comedy.

Jonathan Abrams has been named the scriptwriter. The upcoming movie will be titled ‘Diplomats’.

While Rodman is not scheduled to make an appearance in the movie, some of the comedic aspects will reportedly be taken from the former NBA player's real life escapades.

In recent years, Rodman became good friends with the country’s dictator Kim Jong Un. In January of this year, Rodman returned and organized a special basketball game in the capital city of Pyongyang.

Rodman even showcased his vocal abilities and belted out a Happy Birthday verse for his buddy, Kim Jong Un. The film will highlight some of those not-so-typical privileges and experiences Rodman got to take part in.

There is no date on when the movie will be released yet. What do you think of Rodman inspiring the ‘Diplomats’ movie?
