Metrodome Stadium Demolished in Minneapolis

The Metrodome Stadium, former home of the NFL football team, the Minnesota Vikings, was partly demolished on February 23, to make way for the construction of a new $1 billion stadium for the football franchise. According to local news reports, 84 charges of dynamite were set off in rapid succession shortly after 7.30am local time, rumbling and shaking the eastern downtown streets of Minneapolis.
