No shortage of trauma patients in Central African Republic

With relentless bloodshed in Central African Republic, doctors are in high demand.

In video shot by the charity group Doctors Without Borders, doctors treat injured adults and children in the Bouar hospital.

(SOUNDBITE) (French) DOCTOR WILFRIED, DIRECTOR OF BOUAR HOSPITAL, SAYING:

"We received a lot of injured people, some by bullets, which have resulted in fractures, penetrating wounds to the thorax, penetrating wounds of the abdomen."

The group calls the violence against civilians "extreme."

UN officials estimate that at least 2,000 people have killed.

The ongoing sectarian conflict has displaced around 1 million people.

And there are no signs about when these residents can go home.
