A massage therapist in Long Beach has been arrested after a client passed away. The 36-year-old woman reportedly went into cardiac arrest at Areli's Beauty Salon.

The 45-year-old massage therapist named Sandra Perez Gonzalez rented a room there. Police have launched an investigation to determine if Gonzalez was in any way involved in the other woman’s death.

Currently Gonzalez is in legal trouble because cops learned the treatment room she was renting was not only for massages.
Instead, she was carrying out other procedures including non- surgical butt and lip augmentation.

"Gonzalez was not licensed to administer any type of medical procedure - cosmetic or not."

She also specialized in vampire facelifts, which are similar to Botox injections.

In that type of treatment, plasma from blood is extracted and injected into the face. The detectives learned about the extra cosmetology procedures after they went to the salon to investigate the death of the woman.

Said a Long Beach police spokeswoman ‘Gonzalez was not licensed to administer any type of medical procedure, cosmetic or not. We did find several vials of a substance we believe to be a controlled substance based on the way they were packaged and labeled.’

The corner is working to determine if the victim was administered any drugs which may have led to her death.
