It was recently announced that Joel McHale will host the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner.

Who would you like to see host a White House dinner? If your answer is Joel McHale, then you’re in luck.

It was recently announced that the always-funny host of the E! network program The Soup and the NBC sitcom Community is scheduled to appear at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner.

Everyone seems to be thrilled about McHale being the host. Steven Thomma, the White House Correspondents' Association president stated “He's sharp, funny, and just the type of comic who can navigate the unique challenge of our dinner, making fun of Democrats, Republicans and especially the news media. Washington can use a little good-natured ribbing.”

The high profile dinner will take place on May 3rd.

Obama is expected to stick to tradition and showcase some comedy routines of his own for 2014’s event. The rest of the celebrity list for this year has yet to be released.

2013’s dinner featured Conan O'Brien, Nicole Kidman, Gerard Butler, Michael J. Fox, Sofía Vergara, Katy Perry, Amy Poehler and Steven Spielberg.
