Sochi’s Surprise Gold Medals In Men’s Snowboarding & Women’s Downhill

Everyone had their eyes firmly on Shaun White as he went for history and his third straight Olympic gold medal in the Men’s Halfpipe competition. It wasn’t to be. Surprise winner was Switzerland’s crowd favorite “iPod” Iouri Podladtchikov. New golds were won in the Women’s Downhill competition as two good friends shared the spoils.
