Airport security officials do not mess around when it comes to guns. However in some cases, the strict measures involving the seizure of firearms even pertain to the toy versions.

Recently security at Heathrow Airport in London confiscated a harmless, miniature gun from a Woody doll. The weapon was removed from the Toy Story character’s body.

The doll belonged to a little boy. The child’s father snapped a photo at the moment security authorities took the fake firearm.

The surprised dad later uploaded the picture to social media side Reddit with a caption that read “I have travelled the world with Toy Story’s Woody, taking pics for my son. At Heathrow, security just confiscated his “weapon”, keep the world safe boys…”

He did point out the security authority was very kind during the ordeal and tried to override normal procedure to allow the tiny six shooter to pass through but in the end, he was forced to take it.

The Department for Transport refused to comment on the incident, but a spokesperson did say that airport staff can use their own discretion to confiscate an item they believe may be regarded as a threat.
