The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) in London and Pakistan has issued a joint statement calling upon the PTI leader Imran Khan to fulfil his national duty without caring about results keeping in view the critical condition of the country. They said that Mr Khan had been declaring repeatedly in his press conferences and public meetings on several occasions that he looked on the Taliban as Muslims, Pakistanis and good human beings.

The Co-ordination Committee said that they would like to remind Mr Khan that he had been saying in the past that he would hold dialogues with the Taliban even if no other person was ready for it. Now that the Taliban Council had unanimously reposed their full confidence in him and made him their representatives and asked him to represent them and hold dialogues with the committee formed for this purpose by the government. Maulana Samiul Haque of JUI (S) but due to some unknown reasons Mr Khan backed out.

The Co-ordination Committee said they would urge on Mr Khan to reconsider his decision to pull of the committee nominated by the Taliban for holding dialogues. They urged Mr Khan to take part in the dialogues and show his academic and political foresight for making dialogues a success.

The Co-ordination Committee hoped that Mr Khan would not disappoint the nation.
