For determined and exhausted runners, there is no better feeling than when they cross the finish line. A woman, participating in the Miami Marathon, got a pleasant and unexpected surprise only moments after completing her run.

Rachael Avisrur had just crossed the line when she spotted her boyfriend, Ari Wolf. Armed with a jewelery piece and flowers, he got down on one knee and popped the question in front of fellow runners and onlookers.

Contributing to the shock factor, Avisrur had no clue Wolf was in Miami. She believed he was home in New York.

In the end, she accepted his proposal. The bride to be was smiling from ear to ear following the 3 hour and 42 minute long run. She proclaimed to be the “happiest person ever”.

As for Wolf, he claimed to have planned to pop the question at the marathon, fully understanding the moment would be unforgettable and meaningful.

Avisrur had been running with Team Lifeline, which is a group comprised of over 300 runners who pushed sickly children and cancer survivors along the route in Miami.
