Suicide bomber strikes southern Beirut

A suicide bomber has struck in the Lebanese capital.

The bomber was reportedly on a minibus in southern Beirut when he detonated his explosives.

One other person was killed in the attack. Three people were wounded.

Lebanon is feeling the fallout from neighbouring Syria's civil war.

Last month two bombs hit residential areas of Beirut where the Shia group Hezbollah has a strong presence.

Al Jazeera's Nisreen El Shamayleh reports.
