ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)

STORY: Snow drifts and strong winds continued to cause problems in northern Serbia on Sunday.

On the road around the Serbian town, Subotica, 185 kilometers north of the capital Belgrade, Serbian emergency services have been saving passengers from stranded cars and trucks.

Rescuers deployed bulldozers and heavy machinery to open a main road as a column of cars got stuck overnight in snow drifts.

Authorities warned people in the north of the country not to travel unless it was absolutely necessary.
