Teacher sleeps with student: ruled innocent

A 40-year-old married military instructor surnamed Yen who works at a high school in Taoyuan, Taiwan allegedly seduced a 17-year-old student into have sexual intercourse with him at least 12 times in 2012. However, the military instructor was acquitted by the supreme court yesterday, as the judge deemed the lovebirds "truly in love" after discovering the pair had exchanged more than 10,000 intimate texts.

According to the court's investigation, the military instructor often took the student to a motel to eat instant noodles and watch TV together after school and on the weekends. They would cuddle, make out and, of course, have sex.

Yen's texts to the student included steamy messages like, "I enjoy having sex with you" and "I really love you". The student would respond, "Thanks for loving me, our love is eternal."

The young student's father discovered love letters written by Yen to his daughter, and sued the military instructor for rape, but the supreme court still ruled Yen not guilty.
