While his latest film, "Endrendrum Punnagai", got a tremendous response from the audience and critics, actor Jiiva is now fully focused on his next flick "Yaan". A romantic-thriller, which is the directorial debut of cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran. Indeed, a couple of days ago, the team went to Morocco for shooting two songs and few scenes for the movie.

Recently during an interview, Jiiva revealed that initially, he was supposed to play in Shankar's "Ai".
"After the release of "Nanban", Shankar sir was busy with the script of his next project. He proposed the main role to actor Vikram, and he was looking for another leading actor to play the antagonist of the movie. Suddenly, he came to me and he offered me the "villan" role of "Ai". But unfortunately, I had many other commitments at that time, so I was unable to accept it. Moreover, I hesitated to play the role of an antagonist, I wondered if it would work well. I tried it in my film "Singam Puli", but I have received mixed critics. Then finally, Shankar sir has opted an actor from Bollywood to play this same role", explained Jiiva.
