Mladic refuses to testify as witness for Karadzic in war crimes tribunal

Former Bosnian-Serb Army General Ratko Mladic has refused to testify as a defense witness for his former political master Radovan Karadzic at the United Nation’s Yugoslav war crimes tribunal in The Hague.
Mladic called the tribunal a “satanic court” before reluctantly taking the oath. However, he said he could not answer questions because he didn’t have his dentures with him. The court rose to give Mladic time to retrieve his teeth from his cell. On his return, again, he refused to testify.
Mladic and Karadzic are both on trial separately, facing charges of crimes against humanity and genocide committed during the war.
More than 7,500 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were murdered and then dumped in mass graves by Bosnian Serb forces in the Bosnian town of Srebrenica in July 1995, near the end of that conflict.
The two are accused of masterminding a slaughter in the Bosnian town
Both Karadzic and Mladic insist they are innocent.
