Too much, too young? Bieber arrest raises questions

19-year-old pop star Justin Bieber's arrest has raised questions over the effects of the limelight on young stars

Does global fame and all that comes with it in any way contribute to a pattern of substance abuse and run-ins with the law?

Bieber was released on bail on Thursday, after being arrested for drunk driving in Florida.

He could be facing six months in jail, though a lighter sentence is thought to be likely.

Police said he also admitted to consuming prescription drugs.

Dr Beverly Berg is a mental health therapist in Los Angeles; she says Bieber's arrest could benefit the teenager by forcing him to admit his problems.

"If the law gets involved, the law makes you admit you have a problem, whether you believe it or not. Sometimes it's the law that forces people into really taking a look at what's going on."
