ROUGH CUT (NO NARRATION)

STORY: It was somewhere between high glamour and laid back casual on the Critics' Choice red carpet Thursday (January 16) just several hours after the Oscar nominations were announced. Amy Adams popped in bright pink while Jessica Chastain went for sultry in a rich emerald green, a color seen in various shades on the carpet. Cate Blanchett stunned on the carpet in a hunter green belted dress, and Julia Roberts and her "August: Osage County" friend Meryl Streep wore their sunglasses on the carpet. Oprah Winfrey wore a curve-hugging green gown while Sandra Bullock opted for a frilly plum purple strapless dress. The men stayed with the familiar neutral territory choosing mostly black and grey hues for their suits. The event was held in an airport hangar in Santa Monica on a warm Southern California evening.
